Type C Oil seal
Oil leak: the most frequent failure of the oil seal
- Spark plug technology has evolved over time, with various types designed for different engines and performance requirements. For instance, platinum and iridium-tipped spark plugs offer longer life and better performance due to their superior resistance to wear For instance, platinum and iridium-tipped spark plugs offer longer life and better performance due to their superior resistance to wear

- Furthermore, the 45 62 8 oil seal is easy to install and maintain, allowing for quick and hassle-free replacement when necessary. This helps to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
Polyacrylate is a great compromise between cost and quality. It has a high performing temperature and chemical range, but not to the extent of the range of Viton. The temperature ranges from 31°C to 148°C (-25°F to 300°F). Polyacrylate is primarily used in automotive transmissions and hoses but also found in shaft seals, gaskets and o-rings, due to offering a high resistance to hot oil and oxidation. While Polyacrylate is a great alternative to other high temperature resistant materials that are more expensive, it does have a poor water compatibility and cold flexibility. The best situation for Polyacrylate is an environment where heat and oil resistance but cost is the major issue. And while these 4 different materials cover a wide range of applications, there are even more materials out there designed for very specific niches in mind.
Leather is probably the oldest of the lip materials still in common use, but the move towards mass production methods has seen a massive increase in the development of synthetic rubbers which lend themselves to accurate and repeatable injection and compression moulding. Nitrile (NBR) is still by far the most common elastomer for “normal” use, whilst Viton® (FKM/FPM) is rapidly replacing Polyacrylate (ACM) and Silicone (VMQ) for high-temperature applications. Viton® also has high resistance to abrasion and chemical attack making it a preferred elastomer. Recent developments in the use of PTFE for Rotary shaft seals has caused widespread interest particularly for high-speed shaft rotation or poor lubrication applications.
Global O-Ring and Seal’s oil seal part numbers are designed to describe the seal size, style, and material composition. When searching for oil seals via our online store, you will not only be presented with your selection but with comparable oil seals of the same dimensions. There are often viable style substitutions that are functionally compatible but with additional features. With over 50,000 unique oil seals in our database, you can cross-reference 215,000 part numbers of OEMs and Manufacturers. In the Search Bar above, simply type the OEM/manufacturer part number alone (no need to type the name), and the oil seals matching that part number will be displayed.

(visible lead marks)- In conclusion, the price of oil seals is influenced by a complex interplay of factors, including raw material costs, production processes, market demand, and global economic conditions. Understanding these factors is crucial for businesses and consumers alike, as it allows them to make informed decisions about purchasing oil seals and managing associated costs. As the market continues to evolve, it will be important to monitor these factors closely to stay ahead of any potential price changes.
- Spark plug motors, also known as ignition engines, play an essential role in the functioning of numerous mechanical devices, particularly in the automotive industry. These engines derive their name from the spark plug, a critical component that ignites the air-fuel mixture inside the combustion chamber, thereby propelling the vehicle forward.
