Because synthetic motor oil can cost two to four times more than regular oil, talk to your technician about whether it’s the right oil for your car. If you live in a climate with super cold winters or very hot summers, or use your vehicle for towing or hauling, synthetic oil may be the best type of oil for your vehicle. Older engines could also benefit from synthetic oil, as it can help prevent harmful sludge build-up that some older engines seem to be prone to.

A more comprehensive study of aeration by Dinzburg8 showed that even a minimal level of aeration of an aggressive European SF oil led to protection of a VDF/HFP/TFE compound, but to severe deterioration of an HNBR compound. He notes that aeration increases the severity of aging in oil for silicone and acrylic elastomers, while decreasing the severity for FKM elastomers.

Repeat the process of installing oil seals for any other locations where they are required. Be sure to follow the same steps for each installation to ensure a leak-free performance.
The range of uses of peroxydically cross-linked EPDM includes in hot water and steam seals. EPDM is also very resistant to ageing and ozone. Compared with the usual types of synthesis natural rubber it has good resistance to cold temperatures. EPDM is not resistant to aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil products. Resistance to chemicals, and also to oxidising agents, is very good. Temperature range from -50 °C to +140 °C depending on type.
NBR rubber is above all resistant to oils, especially hydraulic oils, lubricants, petrol and other aliphatic hydrocarbons, diluted acids and lyes. Good physical values such as high friction resistance and ruggedness and good temperature resistance (-25 °C up to +120 °C, in part to -40 °C) give this natural rubber a wide range of uses.
