- Oil Seal Turbo The Heart of Efficiency and Performance
- Replacing a damaged head gasket can be a complex and costly procedure, often involving the complete disassembly of the engine. Symptoms of a failing head gasket include coolant loss, oil contamination, white smoke from the exhaust, and engine overheating Symptoms of a failing head gasket include coolant loss, oil contamination, white smoke from the exhaust, and engine overheating

- A 55% oil seal is typically employed in high-pressure applications where a larger contact area is necessary to withstand increased force. These seals are commonly used in automotive engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery where high pressures are prevalent. Their robust design ensures durability and reduces the risk of oil seepage.
- In the world of small engine machinery, the spark plug plays a pivotal role in ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. The SSR 125 spark plug is a prime example of this, specifically designed to cater to the requirements of high-performance engines. This compact yet powerful component is a testament to the marriage of engineering excellence and technological advancement.

- The valve cover gasket, nestled between the cylinder head and the valve cover, serves as a sealant, preventing oil leaks and maintaining the necessary pressure within the engine. In the case of the LS3, this function is even more critical due to the high RPMs and intense operating conditions these engines are subjected to. The LS3, known for its potent power output and exceptional reliability, relies heavily on the integrity of its valve cover gasket.

Oil seals are one of the major contact type sealing devices.
• They prevent leakage of the lubricant or other sealed substance, and
• prevent entry of dust and foreign matter (dirt, water, metal powder, etc.) from outside. - The 'MGB' in the name does not denote any specific technical feature; rather, it is a model identifier used by NGK for their range of spark plugs. Each MGB spark plug is crafted with a unique combination of materials and design features to cater to different engine requirements. For instance, some models feature a copper core for efficient heat dissipation, while others utilize iridium or platinum for enhanced durability and improved fuel efficiency.

The design and material of a shaft oil seal are crucial factors in determining its effectiveness and durability. High-quality seals are made from durable materials that can withstand high temperatures, pressures, and speeds. They are also designed to maintain a tight seal against the shaft while allowing for smooth rotation without excessive friction or wear.

The quality of the rubber or rubber fabric used to make an outer case is the same as the quality of the rubber sealing lip. Fabric reinforced rubber is, as the name suggests, rubber reinforced with a fabric.

Standard 3760/3761
Common materials used in oil seals include nitrile rubber, fluorine rubber, silicone rubber, acrylic rubber, polyurethane, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc. When selecting the material of the oil seal, the compatibility of the material with the working medium, the adaptability to the working temperature range and the ability of the lip to follow the rotating shaft at high speed must be considered. When the oil seal is working, the temperature of its lip is higher than the working medium temperature by 20~50°C. Attention should be paid when selecting the oil seal material. The working range of the oil seal is related to the material used for the oil seal: the material is nitrile rubber (-40~120°C), Aggreko rubber (ACM) -30~180°C, fluorine rubber (FPM) -25~300°C.

The side cover may be held by one or more central bolts, or by screws round the flange. Undo the bolts or screws and remove them.
